| New Years Eve party. I am not going to review the people because everyones taste is different. However, everyone wants to feel welcome and informed. We did not. There was no newcomers meeting. No nametags or other method to let people know that you are new to the club. (I also could not tell who was running the event since they do not wear anything either) We paid our dues (cash only) and we saw that we were in a room filled with long tables. So many that the only place to mingle was along the walls. If you sit at the tables you can only meet the people across from you. This is ok if you know someone, otherwise you feel like a freshman at the senior dance. Next thing I noticed was people using cameras right in front of the cashier! I also did not see any security. Of course without at least a nametag how would I know who to go to about an issue? The DJ was ok. There was another group in the hotel at the same time. Hotel is a Comfort Inn that has seen better days. Not the best maintained and the spots on the comforter was creepy. Sunday morning a church group rents the lobby meeting room. All in all I think the management needs to take a breath and reconsider the location, security, and function of the event. We did not feel welcomed. Cleanliness is sub par. Security was invisible. We will not be going back and I was totally misled by the earlier reviews. |
