Paradise has been one of our favorites for 4+ years and I have no intention of ever giving it up.
Why has Caliente been in the lime light...because it is brand new...one day it won't be...We love the fact that we can meet someone new all the time. We can BE ourselves, not get our hands slapped all the time.
Listen, we are all grown-ups, (okay, to a point) we all know when to get a room, but in the mean time, you can have fun. |

We have been members of PL for over 2 years now. Our visit was on the traditional Wed night for prime rib dinner, awesome dessert and of course dance too. We went three times the first year then the next year we decided to join since we wanted to get more comfortable being nude.
Well now we are nude-swingers and man does that same time or what, lol.
Since we joined we have been at PL most every weekend. It is sorta our home away from home and our alter ego escape from the real world.
We always feel warm and welcome when we visit and membership and management team works very hard to ensure you have the best visit possible.
PARADISE LAKES
- Is clothing optional and you can wear what you want, when you want, no pressure to be nude or wear clothing
- has great swing parties too
- has proven performance and totally awesome holiday weekends, booked for months in advance.
- Most Wed, Fri and Sat nights have a great crowd in the dance club, the smaller space makes it always appear like a great crowd
- is big but smaller compared to Cal; PL is very cozy and it is nice to sit around the pool and see everything and everyone, unless you play volleyball you almost always run into your friends and it is very easy to get to know and meet others
- PL has a nice routine that flows and most of the bugs have been worked out over the 23+ years
- could be compared to Hedo II (more experience)
- Swinging and discussion appears more acceptable at PL, we have never had any problems. The Holiday weekends are like Hedo and we would never miss Holiday weekend.
Most of the above are our perception and not always facts. Bottom line, if you like a big growing town with a new look and feel then join Cal, however if you like a smaller and more cozy feel then join PL.
If nudity is an issue for you then until Cal is more relaxed about clothing optional in and around the pool you might start with PL. Since PL as zero pressure and you can always wear what you want when you want. Then again, no one has yet to question why we are wearing what we want to wear when we attend Cal. Some rules make no sense to us.
Overtime it will be easier to make a decision on Cal vs PL but it will take a couple of
years for things to play out. Mostly it depends on who joins each resort and what the membership wants. Why do folks still go to Hedo II, because they like it and they have great memories there is our guess. Does anyone go to Hedo I anymore?
However, the best choice is to make your own decision based upon what you want. What we want is to belong to both since we are local. One thing is for sure when we spend a weekend in Paradise we feel like we have escaped the real world. When we visit Cal we always have a great time but it does not feel like we have been in Paradise, lol. We need more time and memories at Cal to get that same care free feeling. Then again it takes us awhile to get comfortable in a new surrounding, especially when the resort and membership is all new too.
