 Worst club I've been to, Aug 09, 2005

First, when you call for directions, the asshole (male) who answers the phone tells you all the ways you "can't" get there. Helpful, huh? Then when you ask for the address, he says, "which one do you want". Excuse me????
When I asked what time they open, he said, "what do you think this is, a business or something"?. (it most certainly is a business, but they deny it) And that was just my first conversation with him!
So, I called back and got a woman who was quite helpful. So, we decided to try it. When we got there, they give you the line, "it's free, but the last couple donated $30.00" Funny, but they told that to every couple who came in! They're too sneaky to say 'we request a donation of $30.00" so they have to say it's free and try to intimidate you into giving them "a donation".
I've seen this place advertised as "upscale" and a "mansion" (by the rude owner). That's absolute bullshit. What it is, is a semi-clean 4000 sq ft ranch house behind a stockade fence in a workingclass residential neighborhood. There's no food, nothing to drink but water, dirty couches to sit on and a hot tub that could use a good cleaning.
Folks, this ain't upscale, it ain't a mansion and it certainly ain't worth $30.00. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this joint. |

Last night we made our first and last visit to Dutch Delight Party House. Besides the directions being more difficult and confusing than they needed to be, from the moment we entered the establishment the welcome mat was never visible, the host was too busy doing something that after he opened the door he disappeared, and the hostess was way too busy letting us know that the ?donation? envelope was right there for us to use, and the ?last couple gave $30.? Never mind that my husband had to repeat twice that we had never been to Dutch Delight Party House before! The hostess (I use that term very loosely) took us on a breakneck speed tour of the house and finished with ?there is a pool and Jacuzzi out through that door.? Never once did she stop and introduce us to other couples that were right in her path of our tour, not to mention that she never did introduce herself. We never saw her or her husband again, and we were there for three hours. I?m not sure what the donation is suppose to cover as there were chips and a dip out, and we were told (by another couple) that you need to bring your own water or soft drinks. We found ourselves being stalked by an older bare butt skinny man for most of the night. We were having a private conversation and he interrupted not once but three times! He finally backed off when my husband made it clearer, that we were not interested. After three hours of being stalked and being ostracized as if we had leprosy, we decided to leave. There was no farewell, come back again, etc, the only farewell hope to see you again came from the dog. Oh, by the way, the dog could give the owners a lesson in hospitality! Our rating of this place, a ?1? and that is because of the dog!
